Engagement Rate Calculator with Denominator Controls
Calculate engagement by followers, reach, views or impressions. Import post rows and compare the median, mean and pooled rate.

Define the rate before you compare it
Interactions to include
Use your own exported or manually recorded data. Match the denominator, interaction types and observation window across posts. Missing data is not zero: enter 0 only when you know the count was zero. A rate above 100% can occur when a person creates multiple counted interactions.

Paste rows from a spreadsheet
Paste tab-separated columns in this order: label, likes, comments, shares, saves, denominator. Do not include a header. This replaces the visible rows after validation.
Save only when you choose. Anyone using this browser profile can access your saved project.
Use the result for a fair comparison
For example, 120 selected interactions divided by 4,000 views gives 3%. Dividing the same interactions by 10,000 followers gives 1.2%. Both calculations can be correct, but they answer different questions. This tool does not detect fake followers, verify audience geography or predict sales.
Keep paid and organic posts separate when the distribution differs. Record the observation window in your post label. Compare a median across several similar posts before treating one unusually large result as typical.
Check the method
Understand your result
Choose the interactions and denominator before comparing posts. The mean weights posts equally; the pooled rate divides total interactions by total denominators. Missing values stay separate from zero, and different denominator definitions are not interchangeable.
